US President Donald Trump’s World Liberty Financial has embarked on yet another crypto buying spree. Yesterday it acquired $10M in $ETH, $10M in $WBTC, and $1.5M in $MOVE. When Trump goes large, the crypto market tends to sit up and take note. Remember when World Liberty Financial bought $47M of $BTC and $47M of $ETH on 20 January in celebration of the president’s inauguration? That same day, Bitcoin reached its all-time high – $109,114.88.
The past 24 hours have seen a similar pattern. Yesterday the $BTC price opened at $87.2K. Within hours of World Liberty Financial’s purchases, it rallied to $92.77K. So much for the general current FUD sentiment.

Yesterday’s acquisitions bring the value of World Liberty Financial’s digital assets to almost $80M, according to data by Arkham Intelligence. That includes $16.33M of Ether, $14.82M of Wrapped Bitcoin, and 13.24M of Tether, among other cryptocurrencies.
What exactly is World Liberty Financial?
Trump announced his World Liberty Financial venture – a community governance-based DeFi platform – in September last year. Trump is joined at the helm by his sons Eric, Donald Jr, and Barron, alongside a slew of co-founders.
According to the project’s ‘gold paper’ (that’s a whitepaper to us regular folk), its aim is to ‘democratize access to financial opportunities while fortifying the global status of the US dollar.’
‘To accomplish this goal, WLF strongly believes in supporting US dollar-based stablecoins and DeFi applications that seek to preserve the US Dollar’s status, ensuring it remains the global reserve currency for the next century.’
