Was this just to fill the gap?

We had a massive drop today in everything, including bitcoin.

It was due to Powell saying they don't plan on cutting rates as much as the markets expected the next 2 years.

However, the good news is that the gaps on the charts have been filled.

The CME gap on the bitcoin chart has now been filled as well:

This is great news going forward as we often have to see these gaps fill before we head higher again.
