Uniswap targeted by SEC

okalok - 2024-04-11 14:23:36

Uniswap is a leading decentralised finance protocol and this was one of the first protocols that did such a big airdrop for the community. This time when we are moving more towards decentralisation because this is the bitter world where we can manage our funds without any intervention from the banking institutions. Even we can earn better rewards on the investment protocols.

There is bad news the Security and Exchange Commission in the US has issued a notice to Uniswap citing that they are going to take some legal action against them. Looks like the Exchange Commission is not trying to target some decentralised finance protocol and Uniswap is first on the list. They have published a blog on their website which you can go through and this is the link for more information.

There are so many people using this protocol for their investment needs and even there are many so looks like the government is not trying to target them and maybe one after another they will try many more such protocols in future. We have seen how the government has taken the action against some crypto companies in the US whereas some leading names are targeted by the SEC.

It is not a good news for sure but hopefully such protocols will come out with more power and explain whatever information is required by the government. I don't think they are doing anything wrong because they are just providing an alternative to the crypto community where people can participate in various investment products without getting involved with centralised exchanges.

For now, this is just news but I believe we should keep an eye on such news updates to see how things are moving forward and what actions are taken by the relevant authorities against uniswap I'm sure that uniswap will turn out to be even stronger as they have mentioned in their blog post that they are ready to deal with this situation.
